This is how the new garage/store looks today.  It is finally warm enough outside that Wayne and his buddies were able to put in the staircase.  Then they were able to work at putting the plywood down in the upstairs storage area.  Progress, at last!  The storage space looks huge.  That will be sooooo nice!  This is getting exciting.  I was in the downstairs telling Wayne's friends where everything is going in the new store.  I think they could see how excited I am!  :-)

I finally finished preparing and sending all the order from our Daily Deal promotion in January.  My beautiful daughter, Jenny, helped me with the logistics and we have a successful promotion.  Thanks to all who participated!

Also, we are in a transition period here right now.  My wonderful husband, Wayne, is building a 1440 sq. foot workshop/store here at home.  400 sq. feet of that is going to be my new store.  There will also be 520 sq. ft of storage space above the garage so I will have lots of space for excess inventory, etc.

I am so excited about this.  My awesome son-in-law is working on adding LED lighting to all of my cabinets so that everything will be well lit.  I will have lots of plugs in the store and I have purchased some wonderful new cabinets and shelving as well.  One of the units I purchased (thank goodness for the closing of a local hospital and the resulting office furniture auction), is a maple "bookcase" that has cubicles in it.  My plan is to make room boxes in this case.  I will be able to light and decorate them to showcase items really well.  I can't wait to start moving in and setting it up!

I am thinking it will be a shame to have that nice space and still only be open by appointment so I am considering options for opening times.  I am looking for input as to whether or not it would work to post on my website if the store is open that day.  Then my customers can look at my site daily to see if the store is open.  It is not really likely that I can have regular hours because I still help care for my awesome 5 year old grandson, who is mentally and physically challenged.  My first priority is to be available to help with him.  Quintin is the man!  :-)

I will post pictures of the new store as it progresses.  This is it so far except that it now has a completed roof.  They are working on the wiring right now.

I am hoping to have some "fun" time soon as well.  I have so many projects that I would love to find the time to work on.  

I just found out that I made it into the registration for the Camp Mini HaHa coming this September.  This will be my 8th year attending this camp for miniaturists and I hope to go every year for the rest of my life!!  I LOVE IT!  Information is available here:  www.campminihaha.com
